Composing and My Computer

As many people know I am a composer I guess. I love composing music. Yesterday I wrote a song for the cello. It’s pretty good I just need to write the piano accompanment which is oging to be hard. But it should be fun. I got a program called Allegro but it is only the trial. But somehow (have to figure out how) I can put my music on a CD and then on my iPod. It will be so cool (if we can get it to work) But soon (maybe tomorrow) I am going to get the 30 day trial of Finale. And if I decide I like it we might buy it. Which is really excited. I’ve been using Finale Notepad but it isn’t very good. But Finale is normally $600. But we emailed the people who work there and they said that we can get the student version which makes it only $200. I’m not sure if we are going to get it yet but it would be cool. Allegro is nice but Finale is way better. So I hope I get it.
Cello is going pretty good. It is hard and painful but I still love it. I practiced saxophone the other day after about a month. I did pretty good I guess. I starting teaching piano to the kid that I babysit and I’m better at it then I thought I would be. So that’s good news. It will be a little extra money if I ever need it.
My computer is breaking. Slowly but surely. It won’t always turn on. But it’s getting really old. My dad said he was surprised to see that it was still working this good. And now it’s breaking. Good news I may get my mom’s old one. It has a DVD drive so I can listen to music have my iTunes on that computer and play games and stuff. But my computer has a touch screen so I will miss that a little bit. My little sister might get this one. We will have to see.
Cello and other Music stuff

So I had my 1st cello lesson a couple weeks ago and my 2nd lesson is Saturday. Pretty much all I’m working on is what notes the strings are and holding the instrument and the bow. It hurts to hold the bow. It makes my hand hurt and I always hold it wrong. I really not see why you have to hold it a certain way. It may help in the long run but I really don’t know. All I know is that it hurts but I have to get use to it. But I love my cello. The sound is so beautiful and just the instrument itself is so beautiful. I really want to do something other than the bow and plucking the strings with your fingers in my next lesson. My teacher is going to put tape on the fingerboard so I can know where I need to place my fingers.
I wonder if you can trill on a string instrument. I bet it would be hard. It is kinda hard on piano. Some notes on wind instruments are easier to trill than others in my opinion. Like F to F sharp. All you do it use the extra key. Or B to C if you use the side key. (Anyone who doesn’t play the sax probably won’t get this)
I still love piano. I’m working on a new song. I pretty much have everything written that I want in it. But the hard part is arranging it together so it sounds good. I think I’m going to need to write another part to that song too. It’s sometimes a lot of work to write a song and other times I can write one in a few minutes. I love writing songs so much! But I have to get in a certain zone which happens but not always when I can sit down at a piano and write something. Sometimes I’ll make up cool songs in my mind but I’ll end up losing it before I can play it on the piano. The worst thing is when I write something and I can’t find the right rhythm so I can write it down.
